Size at Maturity:  15-20ft 

Light requirement:  Full sun (6 or more hours of sun)

Soil moisture:  looks and feels damp

Seasonal interest:  Tree droops towards the ground and has a great inflorescence in the spring.   The white or pink flowers look like a blanket of snow when they fall.  This plant is for ornamental use only, not to grow cherries.  Foliage in Autumn changes to yellow.

Value to wildlife:  produces tiny berries that provide forage for wildlife such as birds, squirrels and deer
