A Supplemental Grant is available to Virginia Beach Master Gardeners.
This grant may
be used for any educational event, but there must be written documentation of how the
Master Gardener will subsequently use this information, and what he/she will accomplish on
behalf of Master Gardeners. Download the form.Example 1:
Attending a class on Bottle Biology and then presenting a training class to the Master
Gardeners.
Example 2: Attending a program on "How to Create
a Backyard Water Garden" and subsequently developing a seminar on that subject and
then presenting the seminar as part of the Speaker Bureau.
Supplemental Education Grant Guidelines
1. This is not a tuition reimbursement program.
2. Virginia Beach Master Gardener Association Executive Board will review and decide on the grant award.
3. Maximum award will be $100.00.
4. Payment will be made after attending the educational program and presentation of
receipts.
5. If you do not fulfill your volunteer commitment as agreed to on the contract, you will
reimburse Virginia Beach Master Gardener Association the full amount of the grant.
6. Master Gardener Interns are not eligible to apply for the Supplemental Education Grant
Award.
